Responsible market surveillance authority To fulfil the tasks of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), the federal states are currently establishing a joint authority.
The Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF) is to commence its work as a new public-law institution in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, in the state capital Magdeburg. This requires ratification of the state treaty for the performance of tasks under the BFSG by all federal states. All federal states are currently creating the necessary prerequisites.
